Lemire's Plugwork's, 2012 Best Striper Lures (Custom Wood Striper Lures)

Lemire's Plugworks offer wooden saltwater and freshwater lures for striper fishing and other types of game fishing. They take great pride in the craftsmanship and catch-ability of all the fishing plugs the hand craft. They not only make their our own fishing plugs, but they also fish and test them extensively.

Al Lemire started building plugs as a hobby, but it quickly turned into a passion or an obsession. As striped bass and bluefish are the targeted species, their plugs will work for a variety of salt water and fresh water game fish.

Each plug is hand crafted one at a time in Rhode Island, USA. They are turned out of premium woods, then drilled, sealed to prevent water intrusion, primed, airbrushed and top coated with high grade automotive paints and durable top coats. Then they are assembled with the highest quality components on the market today. They are stainless steel thru wired for strength, have 4x strong VMC hooks, wolverine triple wound stainless steel split rings, krok super strong stainless steel swivels and nickel plated grommets to protect the surrounding wood.

The craftsman pay close attention to every detail of the process and do not overlook any step. Even drilling the belly holes against the grain of the wood to hold its integrity. their plugs are built for good looks but most importantly for fish catching ability. The fish love our freshwater and saltwater lures and we believe you will also.
WATCH THE ACTION
Lemire's Plugworks carry a full line of swimmers, needlefish, and top water plugs, including the Sea Fly, the first thru wired, salt water rigged wobble bait which has been creating quite a stir over the past year in the northeast striped bass fishing scene. They add new plugs and colors frequently, along with customizing colors to order so visit us regularly to see what we are up to.
